This article in the New York Times is about a children's illustrator, Tomi Ungerer, who was a contemporary of Shel Silverstein and Maurice Sendak. Apparently his work became controversial and he decided to leave the US and return to his homeland.

Now his work is becoming popular once again, and his books and artwork are becoming collectible. I think I might start browsing my neighborhood used book store!
