Missouri Department Of Conservation Nature Area

One of my favorite places to observe nature is Powder Valley in SW St Louis County. It is maintained by the Missouri Department of Conservation. Their website is mdc.mo.gov.

I like to walk along one of the several trails there and take time to stop and look along the way. I found this Daddy-Long-Legs sitting on a leaf during one visit.

During my visits there I have seen deer, chipmunks, garter snakes, and lizards sunning themselves on a rock.
