Altered Landscapes

My daughter,Gina, her friend, and I went on a trip through New Mexico on our way to San Diego, in the summer of 2006.  Gina digitally altered these New Mexico landscapes so that they look like they were found on another planet. By altering the original colors she changed  the mood of the photos from bright and cheerful to dark and forbidden.

Really nice effect. What part of NM were you in? Looks like southern, and that would make sense driving to San Diego. Hope you had a good trip.

Thank you for your comment. We had a great trip! My grandmother grew up on a ranch in New Mexico, so we really enjoyed seeing the landscape. It seemed like it went on forever!

They look really interesting; they could almost be alien landscapes as you say. You're right, they do look forbidding. The sky in negative colours has a spooky effect,
